You may notice that the doors are a bit longer than standard, that's because we grafted a saloon front on to the van. We have replaced nearly all of the panels as it was a basket case!

By the way the van will be called "ON THE RUN".

Jason Pain's Mk1 '74' Capri 1600XL
This a warning about making flippant comments like 'Tell him I'll give him £50 for it" As this is how I ended up with this Capri!

However on the plus side it has only done 30,179 miles from new and seems to be pretty much complete. After towing it home with a ridged bar(and a flat tyre for the last couple of miles) a good clean up saw it looking a lot better.

Since then I've had it running and after unseizing the brakes and clutch I even drove it down the drive, only for it to burst a brake pipe when I tried to stop! Oh how I laughed!

So its time to get the welder out again, (bloody steel cars) and see if I can get it on the road for next year (2010)
